About Me
My Projects

My name is Daniel Löb and I am a physicist doing my Ph.D. at the Technische Universität Darmstadt. My field of research is the theory of dynamics on complex networks, with cell-biological networks being the topic of my Ph.D. thesis. Currently I am also working on epidemics on the transport network of the roman empire.

I consider myself a language buff and enjoy learning various European languages, but also enjoy building software, mostly in C++ (almost 10 years experience) and Python. In 2012 I founded a regional wiki for the place I call home.

While my natural habitat is the Odenwald region south of Darmstadt, I have the mid-term goal of traveling to each EU capital and spending at least one night there. So far I have covered Madrid, Rome, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Kopenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Warsaw, Berlin, Vienna and Athens.
